Mental illness is a significant public health crisis that disproportionately impacts BIPoC communities due to structural racism. As part of the CHBC Mental Health System and Policy Work, we are creating a series of roundtable discussions with community members, professionals, and researchers to unpack the causes of mental health issues rooted in structural racism that the COVID-19 pandemic has intensified. Through these discussions, we have an opportunity to learn from one another and collectively pave the way to holistic healing.
Join us on December 9th for our fourth roundtable discussion that will center on mental health and stigma. Is there a stigma around having contracted the COVID-19? How are various communities defining stigma? How is it showing up in the community?
